Digital Art + Kendo Camp/Jun

Enrich your body and mind this summer with a multi-themed, fun-infused camp brought to you by DigiKidz Academy and Ace Kendo Academy this summer! This one-week, full-day summer camp features an exciting blend of digital arts fundamentals and Kendo training for beginners.

Digital Art Sessions:
Campers will learn Photoshop Elements and its features including file management, layers, drawing, editing, object selecting, basic coloring, and more. They'll enhance their proficiency with digital drawing tablets through engaging exercises and games. The week culminates in a Personal Project where campers craft their first digital art based on their favorite character!

Equipped with ASUS gaming laptops featuring dedicated graphics cards and ASUS Pro-Art 27" monitors, students will utilize Adobe Photoshop Elements, an ideal introduction to various drawing platforms and a simplified version of the industry-standard Photoshop.

Each camper will receive a printed version of their personal project and a certificate of completion and evaluation, with digital files emailed to parents. Selected works may also be showcased on our website, social media platforms, or even as posters!

Beginner Kendo Sessions:
Kendo, literally translated, means “The Way of the Sword.” It is an oriental fencing /martial art developed in Japan.

During Beginner Kendo Sessions, campers will learn respect, manners, discipline, self-control, and self-awareness. These values will be taught through play and activities derived from Kendo while keeping them absolutely safe. They will develop both large and small motor skills, balance, agility, and burn energy for healthy growth. They will gradually prepare themselves physically and mentally before advancing into the bigger world of Kendo.

Bamboo swords will be provided to all campers. Campers are not required to purchase or bring their own gear.

• Transportation between DigiKidz and Ace Kendo will be provided by DigiKidz. Parents will drop off and pick up the campers at DigiKidz.
