This 8-week / 16-hour course is designed to guide students from the basics of pixel art to creating their own animated pieces. With a focus on fundamental techniques such as understanding pixel dimensions, pixel character design, character sprite sheet creation, idle animation, students will progressively gain a comprehensive understanding of pixel art, build their skills through hands-on exercises and projects. By the end of the course, students will have completed a final project that showcases their ability to design, animate, and refine digital pixel art, equipped with the skills to continue creating independently.

Students will take home a printed version of their personal project character and certificate of completion. All the digital files will be emailed to parents. Select works will be shared on our website, or may even go up on our walls!

Our equipment are top-spec Asus gaming lap-tops with dedicated graphics card, dual monitors (one Pro-Art 27" monitor), Wacom/Huion tablets, and Aseprite software.
